Robots And Cyborgs

What links these isn't sleek machinery but the question of what happens when something built or altered starts acting like it has a self worth reckoning with — a prosthetic hand that misbehaves, an assistant that turns on its owner, a synthetic body housing a consciousness unsure of its own reality. The tones swing wildly, from slapstick and B-movie camp to grim survivalist dread, but underneath almost all of them is a corporation, government, or creator that's lost control of what it made, and a protagonist caught trying to prove their humanity is still real amid the wreckage.
