Alcohol and Drinking

Beneath the wildly different genres here—outback survival horror, occult ritual, boxing drama, Old Hollywood biopic, Tom and Jerry slapstick—drinking keeps showing up as the thing that either unravels a person or exposes what's already broken in them. It's rarely incidental: characters drink their way into degradation, isolation, or self-destruction, and just as often try to drink their way toward redemption or connection instead. Even the outright comedies here play with the same idea, just tipped toward chaos instead of ruin.
