Crime Meets Cute
These movies keep putting a couple's chemistry at the center of gunfire, heists, and double-crosses, letting flirtation and bickering do as much work as the plot's actual danger. The crime plot is real enough to raise stakes, but it mostly exists to strand two people together long enough to fall for each other, or to test a bond that's already there. Even when bullets fly, the tone stays warm and playful, treating the caper as a courtship ritual dressed up in getaway cars and shady deals.
